New efforts to ‘bulk up’…
Today, I went out to the GNC store at the local mall. They sell all kinds of vitamins and solutions for weight gain/loss, and they’ve set me up with some suggested powder and some daily vitamins. The powder itself – in its 97.6 OZ container – put me down about $52, and the vitamins were an additional $19. Not exactly the cheapest way to gain weight, but why not try?
Massive? Heck yes.
My main goal here is to put on some weight and muscle. Being thin, I already look very toned when I flex, and my arms aren’t anything but embarrassing when flexing. My routine is a strenuous strength-building workout that I’ve put together, then a shake afterward. I hope it all works out as planned…
Here’s some information on the product, and a little review of it:
Mass XXX (Mass Builder)

Now here’s a nice little review based on the shake I made for myself today:
First off, if you’re going to make this, be smart and use a blender! I didn’t, and it was very chunky on the top layer… so I got a few gulps of straight powder, and it wasn’t too pleasant. Flavor-wise, I’d compare it to Instant Breakfast (chocolate). It’s basically a much more dense version of the occasional chocolate milk drink, with a touch of powder in every sip. Ah, and here’s a suggestion: Don’t drink with dinner. I worked out a bit before dinner, and was going to have a shake… so I replaced the usual 1.5 cups of whole milk with one of these 3 cup shakes… and I was begging for mercy when dinner was over. Ouch.
Overall, I’d give this product an 8/10. The flavor could be a little more appealing, but it’s nothing to whine about.
I’ll be posting more about my efforts soon, so keep up!
