Discrimination against thin people?
[My name is Jay Houston, and I'm a 16-yr-old. I weigh 152 lbs. and I'm 6'4".]
Not everybody would look at me and say that I was overly thin, but I feel like I’m discriminated against in certain situations. For example, walking into a weight room – where everyone is huge and muscular – is a tough thing to do when you got people looking at you and laughing… It’s almost as if they don’t understand my situation and my purpose for being there.
These are the kinds of people found in a weight room:
- Overly muscular middle-aged men.
- Overweight young men.
- Average Joes
And, of this, it’s obvious that there’s no “skinny teenager” involved.
People look at a skinny person, and say, “You should eat more,” or “Are you anorexic or something?”. Now… to get this straight, you have to understand that I eat as much as I can, and I use specific weight gaining products along with my lifting to increase muscle & weight. Sounds like it would work, right? Not for me… I’ve actually lost two pounds over the past 6 months while being on a weight GAIN diet.
Everyone else in the world complains that they’re overweight and can’t seem to lose weight, but that is all I can do, no matter how hard I slave to acheive my goals. I guess some are envious… but they criticise me for it, as if I was clueless to my state.
The ultimate lesson: Next time you see a thin person, don’t criticise or stare, just understand that it may be tough for them to put on weight.

The problem in many cases is that the overweight/fat people have such pride in being fat. They see themselves as ´Hulks´, and of course they are far more superior than you because we thin guys are like feathers and we could never protect our girlfriends like they would do in a club… Believe me, ive taken tons and tons of those similar comments, even from fat girls.
Let them be fat and enjoy a shorter life with unattractiveness. Let us with the thin genes lay back and get all the chicks and live healthier lives. No reason to be ashamed of your physical appearance, I promise you. And don´t forget that fat people often get very very jealous of us
im sick of people say things like omg your so skinny some times i just wish some people would keep there comments to thenselfs… im also sick of going to the pool and people thinking that im sick when im not …
